Banning entered their tilt with Desert Hot Springs on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 11-7. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-1 victory back in March.

Ella Leivas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Vero Flores was incredible, going 1-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Nicelle Soriano was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Banning hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Banning's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Desert Hot Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Banning will have a chance to go back-to-back against Desert Hot Springs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
