Soccer Game Preview: Granby vs. Phoebus

The Granby Comets will head out on the road to face off against the Phoebus Phantoms at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Granby and Warwick finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Farid Jimenez and Markland Grant scored both of the Comets' goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

While Phoebus didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Hampton with a sharp 5-2 victory on Tuesday. Phoebus haven't had any issues with Hampton recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Phoebus' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. Granby's draw makes their record 3-4-3 this season.

Granby took their win against Phoebus in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
