Basketball Recap: Carbondale Takes a Loss

Carbondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-31 loss at the hands of the Collinsville Kahoks. The contest marked the Terriers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Collinsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Donovan Coates led the charge by going 6 of 11 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jace Wilkinson, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points.

Carbondale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Collinsville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Carbondale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-61 loss against Oakville on the 28th. Collinsville has also already played their next matchup, a 60-57 defeat against The Woodlands Christian Academy on the 28th.
