Softball Game Preview: MacArthur Brahmas vs. Cedar Hill Longhorns

The MacArthur Brahmas will take on the Cedar Hill Longhorns at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar Hill took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on MacArthur, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, MacArthur turned things around against Winn on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Mavericks.

Jessie Salazar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Miranda Lerma was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jaden Neira, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Meanwhile, Cedar Hill fell victim to Tyler Legacy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Raiders. The Longhorns have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cedar Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for MacArthur, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
