The Hudson Explorers will take on the Magnificat Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hudson will be strutting in after a victory while Magnificat will be coming in after a defeat.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Hudson and Stow-Munroe Falls, and Hudson kept the tradition alive. The Explorers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Explorers have posted against the Bulldogs since May 8, 2019.
Claire Eland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Shawna Baylor was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eva Masiella, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Magnificat was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 11-1 to Berea-Midpark.
Magnificat saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Wheeler, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Magnificat dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hudson, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hudson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Magnificat struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
