Softball Recap: Edison Chargers vs. Willard Crimson Flashes

Edison's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Willard Crimson Flashes with a sharp 21-7 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Edison needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Edison got a massive performance out of Audrey Linder, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Bissell, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and a triple.

On Willard's side, Makenzie Sykes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Natalie Slone was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Willard, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Edison will be playing at home against Margaretta at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Willard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
