Baseball Recap: East Hill Christian Eagles vs. Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators
East Hill Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Charlie Hall was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. Hall was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Ben Bentley was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 4-for-5. Reid Gatyas was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
East Hill Christian's record now sits at 1-6. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
Coincidentally, East Hill Christian and Gulf Pointe Latin will both be playing West Florida Baptist Academy the next time they take the field. The Gladiators will host the Conquerors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
