Football Recap: Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 61-6 loss at the hands of the Northeast Raiders. The Chargers have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

WyQuayvis Gaither threw for 49 yards and one TD. Jacouri Adams was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Wiggins, who threw for 124 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. Reginald Glover also helped with two scores in total.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Northeast, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Central will host Dublin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Irish's defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Chargers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Northeast, they are taking a road trip to square off against Dodge County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
