4A Region 7 recap November 5, 2013

Malvern was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Nashville. The Leopards came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.

Arkadelphia added to the longest winning streak in 4A Region 7 this week by beating Bauxite, 62-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Robinson's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brennen Johnson threw for 237 and 2 touchdowns and Kody Williams had 168 yards receiving. On the ground Johnson chipped in 182 yards. TJ Hammond helped Robinson's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 66 yards.

The Senators' dynamic duo of Johnson and Williams proved tough for Central Arkansas Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hammond helped Robinson's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 66 yards.

He went 13-18 with 0 interceptions.

The leading receiver in the league this season is LaMichael Pettway. The Nashville star has 44 catches for 896 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Arkadelphia and Malvern. The Badgers comes into the matchup ranked 11th in the state, while John Fogleman's team ranks 23rd.

Entering into this week's contest against Robinson, Riley Perkins is short just 118 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season. So far this year, Perkins has thrown for 1,882 yards with 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Arkadelphia takes on the Leopards. The Badgers have allowed 129 points this season, while Malvern has given up 181.
