Basketball Recap: Hardaway Takes a Loss

Hardaway played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 75-44 loss at the hands of the Kendrick Cherokees. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-25.

Despite the loss, Hardaway still got an impressive performance from Tamaj Reese, who posted 15 points. Arthur Jordan was another key player, putting up six points.

Kendrick was led to victory by Kasey Lott and Cash Elder. Lott dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards, while Elder dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. Elder is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Taven Leonard, who put up six points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Hardaway has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Kendrick, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Hardaway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-32 defeat against Douglas County on the 20th. As for Kendrick, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-60 victory against Creekside on the 21st.
