The Mojave Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Mammoth Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mojave will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Mojave turned things around against Lone Pine on Saturday. They walked away with an 82-72 win over the Golden Eagles. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jordan Davis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 468 yards and eight TDs while picking up 18.7 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 157.8 rushing yards per game. Jordan Chillis was another key player, gaining 181 total yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mojave was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 640 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mammoth faced Trona in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Huskies breezed past the Tornadoes to the tune of 76-8. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won six matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
A big part of Mammoth's victory came down to the chemistry between Eli Ericson and his top target DJ Gray. Ericson rushed for 111 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries while Gray picked up 105 receiving yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Ericson racked up 131.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Mammoth, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Gray, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Mammoth's record now sits at 7-1. As for Mojave, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.
Mojave took a serious blow against Mammoth when the teams last played back in September of 2023, falling 53-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
