Barclays Center has played host to the NBA Draft and MTV Music Video Awards. Saturday it held New York City's public school basketball championship.

In one of the more grand settings for high school playoff basketball around the country,
Cardozo (Bayside) beat
Jefferson (Brooklyn) 55-54 on Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the Public Schools Athletic League AA title.
The PSAL encompasses all of New York City's public schools and the AA division is the most competitive. Nationally-ranked
Lincoln (Brooklyn) and
Wings Academy (Bronx) were the favorites to reach the finals but both were upset in preliminary rounds.
It was the first PSAL title in 15 years for Cardozo. Sophomore
Rashond Salnave hit a pair of free throws in the final seconds to lift the Judges to the victory.
