Lincoln has gone 7-2 against Stover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lincoln Cardinals will host the Stover Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Lincoln didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 50-46 victory over Otterville on Tuesday. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Eagles are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Stover, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Holden by a score of 57-50 last Thursday.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Stover, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Lincoln lost to Stover at home by a decisive 52-37 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
