Softball Recap: Roane County Yellowjackets vs. Midway Green Wave

Roane County stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They beat the Midway Green Wave by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-0. The win was nothing new for Roane County as they're now sitting on six straight.

Sailor Presley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just zero earned runs on two hits and racked up 20 Ks. Those 20 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Irelyn Beaumia and Maris Neal did most of the damage at the plate: Beaumia scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Neal scored a run while going 1-for-2. Beaumia is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played. Macey Neal was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Roane County pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
