Baseball Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to the Neuse Charter Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on April 1st.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Neuse Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-10.

Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neuse Charter, they will challenge Hobbton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
