After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest Christian, Benjamin Franklin was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Gilbert Christian Knights with a sharp 18-3 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Chargers this season.

Benjamin Franklin got a massive performance out of Jaelyn Castaneda, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Castaneda also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addysen Yarn, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Benjamin Franklin's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Gilbert Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.
