Waterloo easily dispatched Belleville on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Pirates fell just short of the Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Cambria-Friesland, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.
