Volleyball Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waco on Tuesday, Belton came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Lake Belton Broncos on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-11, 22-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 26-12. As for Lake Belton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 24-12 record this season.

Belton and Lake Belton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Tigers will square off against University at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (298 vs. 926). Meanwhile, Lake Belton (ranked 185th) will meet Ellison (ranked 999th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
