After a string of three wins, Tamarac's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hoosic Valley Hawks by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Bengals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

CJ Hawk got Tamarac off to a strong start despite the final result, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs Hawk has allowed since back in May of 2025.

On the hitting side, Tamarac saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Quackenbush, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Tamarac's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Hoosic Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Tamarac wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Waterford-Halfmoon on the 27th. As for Hoosic Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against Saratoga Central Catholic on the 27th.
