Recap: Sequoia Charter Stallions vs. El Dorado Wolverines

The Sequoia Charter Stallions managed to keep up with the El Dorado Wolverines until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Sequoia Charter's rough 56-33 defeat to El Dorado might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Sequoia Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while El Dorado is ranked 71st).

When it comes to explaining why Sequoia Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Roehl. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with two steals and two blocks. Roehl continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Lozano, who scored eight points.

Sequoia Charter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for El Dorado, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sequoia Charter will face off against ASU Prep Poly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for El Dorado, they will head out on the road to square off against Ridgeview College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
