Basketball Recap: WINGS Homeschool Athletics Comes Up Short

WINGS Homeschool Athletics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 110-26 loss at the hands of the Victoria Cobra HomeSchool Cobra. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 111-43 back in November.

It was another big night for Jacob Johnson, who went 24 for 33 on his way to 49 points in addition to 29 boards and 17 assists for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool. The game was Johnson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hyrum Ripa, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists.

WINGS Homeschool Athletics' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.

WINGS Homeschool Athletics does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
