Soccer Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clinton can now relate to. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tupelo Golden Wave who were credited with the win on Saturday. The Tupelo Golden Wave got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Clinton Arrows' three. The Arrows were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Wave earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Tupelo, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tupelo, they will take on Madison Central on Tuesday. Tupelo's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
