Baseball Recap: Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Phoenix Christian Cougars, falling 13-2. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Bubar, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Luc Fourie also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Phoenix Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will host Madison Highland Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Heat have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Phoenix Christian, they will welcome Camp Verde at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
