Volleyball Recap: McHenry Comes Up Short

McHenry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Huntley Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

McHenry started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-14, 25-12.

Despite the loss, McHenry still got an impressive performance from Player #21, who had 11 digs. Teage Wings also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

McHenry's loss dropped their record down to 9-24. As for Huntley, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-9.

McHenry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Crystal Lake Central on the 23rd. As for Huntley, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Hampshire on the 23rd.
