Baseball Recap: Rye Neck Comes Up Short

Rye Neck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-4 to the Harrison Huskies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Rye Neck saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davey Ryan, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit was Ryan's first of the season.

Rye Neck's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Harrison, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Rye Neck will take on Rye at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison, they will square off against Croton-Harmon at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
