Basketball Recap: Millennium Comes Up Short

Millennium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Asheboro Hybrid Academy Warriors, falling 74-48. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-55 back in November.

When it comes to explaining why Millennium lost, don't look at Joseph Streeter. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-10 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Hearn, who posted 14 points and five steals.

Millennium's record is now 0-6. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, they moved to 2-9 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millennium will take on Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, they will face off against Forsyth Home Educators at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
