Football Game Preview: DePaul College Prep Rams vs. Carmel Corsairs + How To Watch

The DePaul College Prep Rams will head out to square off against the Carmel Corsairs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. DePaul College Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Carmel will be coming in after a defeat.

DePaul College Prep took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past Saint Viator to the tune of 38-7. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Lions are ranked 297th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyson Hooks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 173 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries, while also picking up 39 receiving yards and one score. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. DePaul College Prep also got help from Matthew Osterman, who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Carmel and Montini Catholic were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Carmel suffered a 55-54 loss.

Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for DePaul College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

DePaul College Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Carmel in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 25-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
