Football Game Preview: Altus Bulldogs vs. Guthrie Bluejays

Two dominant signal callers in Jeymon Reed and Daelon Rice are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Altus Bulldogs will face off against the Guthrie Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Altus comes in on seven and Guthrie on six.

Altus lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Noble, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Bulldogs blew past the Bears 70-18 on Thursday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, while Guthrie put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Western Heights. The Bluejays claimed a resounding 57-0 win over the Jets. That looming 57-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bluejays yet this season.

Altus' record now sits at 7-0. As for Guthrie, their record is now 6-1.

Altus suffered a grim 56-34 defeat to Guthrie when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
