Basketball Recap: Daeron Bankett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Vasquez over Crescenta Valley

Vasquez saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 78-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crescenta Valley Falcons.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daeron Bankett, who shot 67% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Noah Rowley was another key player, going 8-for-11 on his way to 18 points and four steals.

Vasquez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Vasquez and Camarillo will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Crescenta Valley, they and West Ranch will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
