Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Northern Highlands' Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northern Highlands can now relate to. They fell 72-65 to the NV - Demarest Norsemen on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-65 back in January.

Northern Highlands moved to 20-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. As for NV - Demarest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Northern Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for NV - Demarest, they will square off against Ramapo on Friday. NV - Demarest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Ramapo likes a good challenge.
