Basketball Game Preview: Central Hardin Bruins vs. John Hardin Bulldogs

Central Hardin and John Hardin are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Central Hardin Bruins will host the John Hardin Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Central Hardin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, Central Hardin was fully in charge, breezing past Fort Knox 76-49. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Eagles are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, John Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-45 bruising from Central.

Central Hardin's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.7 points per game. As for John Hardin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Central Hardin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against John Hardin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 74-69 win. Will Central Hardin repeat their success, or does John Hardin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
