Softball Recap: Forreston Comes Up Short

Forreston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Lena-Winslow Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in April.

Forreston saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Ingram, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Forreston's loss dropped their record down to 3-25. As for Lena-Winslow, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Forreston will host Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lena-Winslow, they are taking a road trip to square off against Pearl City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
