Baseball Game Preview: Eagle Point Eagles vs. Springfield Millers

For the second straight game, Eagle Point will face off against Springfield. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Millers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Eagle Point has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Eagle Point fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Springfield on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Millers by a score of 7-6.

For Springfield's part, Timothy James was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Corban Hein, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

With the win, Springfield broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7. As for Eagle Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
