Soccer Recap: Chancellor Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

Chancellor hadn't done well against Courtland recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chargers' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 2-0 shutout. Hailey Garcia had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Chancellor.

Chancellor has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those ten contests. As for Courtland, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2-1.

Chancellor didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Powhatan on the 27th. Courtland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
