If Notre Dame Prep wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cactus Shadows, they should've done a better job of containing Donivan Dixon. The Falcons breezed past the Saints to the tune of 56-27 on Friday with plenty of help from Dixon, who rushed for 193 yards and one score on only 12 carries, and also threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 108.2 rushing yards per game.

Another player making a difference was Alex Dafnis, who gained 59 total yards and three touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making six total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

When it comes to explaining why Notre Dame Prep lost, don't look at Decker Haskins-Smith. Despite the final result, he rushed for 91 yards and one TD.

The victory got Cactus Shadows back to even at 4-4. As for Notre Dame Prep, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Cactus Shadows has already played their next matchup, a 21-14 win against Chaparral on the 23rd. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will venture away from home to face off against Arizona College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
