Softball Game Preview: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions vs. Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles

The Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions are taking a road trip to challenge the Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Christ Our Rock Lutheran is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran came out on top against Marquette Catholic on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Silver Stallions took their match against the Explorers 7-2.

Katie Oelze was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Alayna French was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Brownstown/St. Elmo was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They came up short against St. Anthony, falling 16-1.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran took their win against Brownstown/St. Elmo when the teams last played back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silver Stallions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
