Preview: Phoebus Phantoms vs. Warwick Raiders
Phoebus is on a four-game streak of home losses, Warwick a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Phoebus Phantoms will take on the Warwick Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Thursday, Phoebus suffered a tough 64-43 defeat at the hands of Menchville. Phoebus has not had much luck with Menchville recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Warwick was the victim of a rough 64-42 loss at the hands of Hampton on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Warwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Hampton is ranked 21st).
Phoebus has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Warwick, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-16.
