After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Espanola Valley, Moriarty was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Taos Tigers 34-32. This was a revenge game for the Pintos: when they faced off against the Tigers back in January, they had to take a 35-29 defeat.

Despite the loss, Taos still got an impressive performance from Julianna Flores, who posted 14 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Mondragon, who put up seven points and four steals.

Moriarty's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Taos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

Moriarty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-19 loss against Pojoaque Valley on the 19th. As for Taos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 35-25 win against Los Alamos on the 19th.
