Volleyball Recap: Dixie Comes Up Short

Dixie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Cedar Reds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Reds this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat back in March.

Dixie couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Cedar a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-22, 30-28.

Cedar found their leader in sophomore Nathan Guzman, who had 21 digs and one assist. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Guzman.

Dixie's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Cedar, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dixie is set to challenge their familiar foe Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cedar will face off against rival Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
