Basketball Recap: Nazareth Area Blue Eagles vs. Easton Area Rovers
The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles were the 67-52 winner over the Easton Area Rovers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Nazareth Area took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rovers on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Nazareth Area has lost by exactly seven points.
Easton Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Cornish, who scored 14 points. Adonis Pompilus was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Nazareth Area are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7. As for Easton Area, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nazareth Area will take on the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Easton Area, they will head out on the road to face off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
