Shawn Davis' Big Game Leads East Duplin over South Lenoir

Starting off the list is East Duplin's Shawn Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.

Davis must have South Lenoir's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Davis rushed for 104 yards the last time he and the Blue Devils duked it out back in October of 2023.

Jeremiah Hall and Co. Win Eighth in a Row

James Kenan picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jeremiah Hall. Hall rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

James Kenan's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Hall will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Southwest Onslow on Friday.

Wallace-Rose Hill Gets a Boost from Lamb in 14-13 Win

Jamarae Lamb continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 110 rushing yards. He rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 68 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Lamb might just drop another big game when he faces off against East Duplin on Friday. Lamb rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Jordan Hall Makes It Two for East Duplin

The second East Duplin player making an appearance here is Jordan Hall, and for good reason. He forced a fumble and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Irving Brown put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in November of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Brown must have Kinston's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Brown rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per carry the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in October of 2023.
