Baseball Recap: Beekmantown Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Beekmantown can now relate to. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peru Nighthawks on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Parker Broughton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Beekmantown's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Peru, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

While Beekmantown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
