Old Forge has won three straight games at home, while Wyoming Area has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Sunday. The Blue Devils will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Old Forge will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Honesdale on Friday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Blue Devils have beaten the Hornets the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hornets has come to flipping the script.

Joselyn DeStefano was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Arnold, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Old Forge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Wyoming Area made easy work of Greater Nanticoke Area on Tuesday and carried off a 15-3 win.
Alexa Gasek made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Gaylord, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Allison Layland was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Old Forge's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Wyoming Area, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
