Softball Recap: Mariemont Comes Up Short

Mariemont lost against Indian Hill two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against the Braves, falling 21-12. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Abby Connors was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Peyton Quiambo was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Mariemont's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Indian Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Mariemont has already played their next game (against Bethel-Tate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Indian Hill, they will head out to take on Finneytown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
