Recap: Gallia Academy Blue Devils vs. Ironton Fighting Tigers
The Gallia Academy Blue Devils lost against the Ironton Fighting Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Gallia Academy was outmatched by Ironton on the road and fell 72-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gallia Academy in their matchups with Ironton: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ironton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shaun Terry, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Braden Schreck was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Gallia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Ironton, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Gallia Academy will take on Rock Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ironton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-66 win vs. South Point on the 10th.
