Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Circle Christian on Thursday, Trinity Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles lost 10-3 to the Pine Ridge Panthers on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Trinity Christian Academy got a good showing from Alex Low, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Low posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Trinity Christian Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quentin Berry, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Trinity Christian Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. Pine Ridge's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3-2.

Coming up, Trinity Christian Academy will head out to challenge Taylor at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pine Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Deltona at 4:30 p.m. Pine Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Deltona's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
