Softball Recap: Westborough Comes Up Short

Westborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Westborough's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Blackstone Valley RVT, their win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westborough will head out to square off against Grafton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blackstone Valley RVT, they will venture away from home to take on Uxbridge at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Beavers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
