Lakeland had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Peekskill Red Devils with a sharp 38-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won five matches by 24 points or more so far this season.

Lakeland pushed their record up to 12-2-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.0 points on average over those games. As for Peekskill, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Coming up, Lakeland will host Poughkeepsie at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. Peekskill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
