Simi Valley extended their postseason success on Friday against Crean Lutheran. Everything went their way against the Saints as they made off with a 27-7 win. Considering Simi Valley has won five games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Among those leading the charge was Jesse Sereno, who threw for 159 yards and a touchdown. Simi Valley also got a significant boost from Brice Hawkins, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Meanwhile, even though Ontario Christian scored an imposing 33 points on Friday, Huntington Beach still came out on top. Huntington Beach narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Ontario Christian 36-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Huntington Beach.
Tyler Young was his usual excellent self, rushing for 169 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Hunter Gray, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Simi Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Huntington Beach, their win bumped their record up to 6-6.
