Recap: Delaware Academy Bulldogs vs. Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats
After losing to the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats the last time they met, the Delaware Academy Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Delaware Academy walked away with a 45-36 win over Bainbridge-Guilford on Tuesday. Given Delaware Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Bainbridge-Guilford is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bainbridge-Guilford's loss came despite strong showings from Johnna Henderson and Jayslin Henderson. Henderson scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Henderson scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Mayo, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Delaware Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Delaware Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Deposit-Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they will head out on the road to face off against Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Walton will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
